The barbecue pioneers at Weber--they've been making grills since 1951--know how to design a grill that lasts. The One-Touch Silver's porcelain-coated steel bowl and lid are exceptionally strong and designed never to rust, fade, or peel. The grill's hardware is of the highest quality. The aluminum vents and ash catcher won't rust, and the grill's tripod base, nylon handles, and all-weather wheels combine to make this Weber both exceptionally sturdy and easy to maneuver. Weber's patented One-Touch cleaning system--a clever setup of lever-activated blades--sifts ash out of the kettle and into the grill's removable catch pan. You never have to get your hands dirty--and emptying the kettle takes only a few seconds.
For those in search (or need) of culinary guidance, Weber includes a 31-page owner's guide filled with cooking tips and time-tested recipes for grilling everything from pork chops to bratwurst to Cornish hens.

Lasted 25 years!
I received this classic Weber Grill in 1984 as a gift. After 25 years of BBQ and grilling the bottom dampers finally gave out. I have cooked countless whole chickens, a few small turkeys and beef rib roasts, and hundreds of burgers, ribs, and too many vegetables to count. It is easy to set up the fire for different cooking methods and regulating the heat is very simple. Once the cooking is done, the dampers make shutting down the fire quick and safe. Over the last three years we replaced the old wood handles, and upgraded the grill grate. We will replace with a new Weber soon. In my opinion this is the best charcoal grill!
Great grill
I own this grill and love it. I just finished two ribeyes and I can't complain one bit. The charcoal "chimney" starter from Weber is also a great buy. It was much better than my old no-name brand starter. I never use matchlight or starter fluid anymore. The cover they sell is also nice. My Weber lives out on the porch and I haven't noticed any ill effects.
After ten years with my Weber Kettle, it's time for a new grill.
I bought this grill to use on the balcony of my apartment ten years ago and took it with me, when I moved six years ago, to the patio of my house. Frankly, it's a kettle grill with no frills. The one-touch cleaning system thing is a crock, but that's all right. It's a grill - you gotta clean it. It's gonna be messy.
Ten years later, and this grill is going strong and, let me say, mine has been very badly mistreated. I've NEVER brought it inside. I live in an area where everything closed down for Hurricane Isabel and I stood looking out at my balcony (with the grill sitting on it) and watched the wind blow the trees around and the rain come down in sheets. It's been outside for every single day of the ten years I've owned it. I clean it when I have to use it so the ash and old charcoal just sit in it for six or seven months at the end of the grilling season.
I finally need a new grill now for one reason only. When I bought this grill (and for the past eight years) it was sufficient to cook for myself and a friend or two. A couple of years ago, I gained a very hungry foster son, a retired mother, and the girlfriend of said foster son (who is here for most meals since she wouldn't eat otherwise). With the couple of friends still hanging around, I need more cooking space. This grill is not going into the great griller's beyond just yet though. Getting more space isn't all that easy when you insist on charcoal so I'm just gonna get myself another Weber kettle. I may get the 26" and I may get the gold or platinum but, I have to say, I soooo got my money's worth for this old workhorse.

As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q 220 gas barbecue. This update of the popular Q 200 grill provides extra lid clearance for game hens and roasts while maintaining all the original's conveniences. The liquid propane grill employs a 12,000 BTU burner to heat its 280-square inch cooking area.
Weber crafted the grill's lid and body in tough cast aluminum, framed by a heat- and moisture- resistant nylon frame with glass reinforcement. The grill ignites at the push of a button. A control knob adjusts the output of the stainless-steel burner. Users monitor the heat on a built-in thermometer in the lid until the grill reaches the desired cooking temperature. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates. Drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Two polyethylene side tables attach to the grill for extra preparation space. For travel, users tote the grill by a heat-resistant handle. The grill affixes to a 14.8-ounce disposable propane tank. Propane is not included with the grill. Weber does however enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. This grill requires some assembly upon arrival. Weber offers a limited five-year warranty for this item. The grill measures 32 by 18 by 16-1/2 inches with a shipping weight of 45 pounds. --Jessica Reuling
