Best Kitchen Appliance

I have used a half time oven for about 3 years and consider it the most indispensible appliance in my kitchen. It's a shame it hasn't been marketed more effectively because there should be one in every kitchen. I use mine with virtually every meal I prepare. It's especially nice for rewarming and cooking meats, baking biscuits, rolls, or pizza or cooking a casserole in record time. The only thing I don't use it for is baking cookies since the cookie sheets won't fit. My only concern is that it will one day stop working and I won't be able to get a replacement.

Bought this for my wife, but after putting it together (very easy to do by the way) I have also been using it. Much more sturdy than others I looked at in sporting goods stores and looks great. Great Budget Shaver...
This is the 4th electric shaver that I have owned and the 2nd rotary type. I have owned the top of the line shaver from Panasonic, as well as mid-range units from Braun and Remington.

The same thing has happened every time in the past. I give it two to three months and then I am back to a disposable razor that can shave closer, with less hassle, and less irritation. The number one reason each time for going back to a disposable was how the electric shaver failed to handle my neck hair. None of them seemed to be able to the job no matter what and then the hassle on the units I had that had an expensive cleaning unit made it a pain to use.

Well I got the bug again to try an electric razor one more time and ended up purchasing this unit. And now after having it for a while I have to say that this is the best electric shaver that I have had. First and foremost it can handle my neck. It can't get it all in one pass, but the others couldn't do it no matter how many times I tried! Second, being able to just rinse the head under the sink is wonderful. No more cleaning systems that are bulky and expensive with the continual cost of the cleaning solution. Third, is that it is a surprisingly close shave. I kind of expected a 5 o'clock shadow by noon with a rotary shaver, but that isn't the case here. It is very close to a shave with a razor, NO KIDDING!

It isn't the perfect electric razor, but it is more than worth the price. There are only two things that stick out with me that could have been done better and both are related to charging. First, it takes 8 hours to charge the unit from being almost dead, with no quick charge capabilities. You can get around it by just using it plugged in when you are in the middle of the charge. Second, is that there is no battery level indicator. It would be nice to have some sort of idea of how much of a charge you have left.

In my book, these are just two minor issues that aren't that important to me, but keep me from giving it 5 stars. I have and will continue to recommend this unit to friends.

Schwinn Active 10 Series Upright Exercise Bike
Searched high and low for an affordable (not cheap) exercise bike and ended up with this Active 10 bike from Schwinn because it was on sale at Amazon and had free shipping. After using it for a couple of months now, I can confidently recommend this product if you're not looking for all the fancy bells and whistles. It has what I need: user memory so it saves my settings, pulse and calorie meter, different workout programs, very compact design and super quiet. The only things that are lacking for me are the absense of water bottle holder (which I can buy separately at any bike store) and no place to put mp3 player or book. Otherwise, for the price, it's perfect.

BASIC TREADMILL
Paradigm Fitness Walking Electric Treadmill
Looking for a basic treadmill? Check out this one! It is exactly what I was searching for: no frills, level walking area, monitors time, distance, calories & walking speed. I agree that the walking area is short but I am 5'3" which works perfectly for me. I can see that it may be a problem for those with long strides.

It weighs 100 pounds which required my nephew's strength to carry into the house. The assembly is fairly easy. The walking area/belt is already assembled. The arms & legs have to be attached (easy). The display unit has to have its electric connections connected (fairly easy). Then attach the display unit to the designated front bar (also fairly easy). You are supposed to apply the enclosed oil to the belt once a year (already done before it ships for the first year). This item is supposed to hold a 350 pound person. I think it would.

My only complaint about this treadmill is that it is very difficult to restart after pulling the "kill switch" (which I did test). I followed the directions in the booklet which comes with this and it still took several manual restarts before the treadmill would operate. I repeated this several times to see if it still followed this pattern and it does. However, it is very easy to power the treadmill down or just hit the stop switch to stop it so I cannot see a real need for the kill switch.

I let my feet roll of the belt and still had no problems regaining balance ( I am 62 years old & not as agile as once was). Of course, I would never allow children or animals around this without adult supervision while it is running.

The electronic display has a button to start and stop the machine as well as a control to increase/decrease the speed & mode, reset, set buttons all which function properly. It also displays the speed, time, etc. On the right arm are buttons to increase/decrease speed. On the left arm are buttons for on/off & mode. It is very easy to hit these buttons and I have shut down the machine many times by accidentally hitting the off/on button. The machine has to run a minimum of 4 minutes before it is turned off or you have to do the manual shut down/restart (a pain in the uh-huh). I have put a wire near this button to keep my hand from hitting the button accidentally.

I had a treadmill years ago which was too loud to hear tv nearby. This treadmill is fairly quiet. I have no problems watching tv while walking and can talk on phone with no problems

I needed a level treadmill as I have several problems with a foot. This treadmill is great for my needs. I will watch to see how it works a year from now. So far I love it!

Great grill, great price
This is one appliance that lives up to every one of the manufacturer's claims. I follow directions and spray the grill surface with cooking spray and put half a cup of water in the pan below, and the grill really is, as advertised, smokeless and extremely easy to clean. I like the adjustable grill temperature, a feature I'm not used to since my faithful antique Farberware, now deceased, had only two settings, namely "plugged in and on" or "unplugged and off". The Sanyo cooks everying in half the time the old grill did, and without cabinet-endangering flareups. I particularly like the enormous cooking surface since I'm regularly cooking for 5 adults and a child and with this grill I can cook for all of us at once. The dimensions make it easy to store if you set it vertically rather than horizontally. The appliance is so low in height that I set mine on a silicone countertop protector, but I'm not sure this is really necessary. My only complaint is that there is no surrounding rim to keep your hamburgers from sliding right off the grill when you try to flip them over, but using a second spatula as a backstop solves that problem. This grill is a terrific bargain even at the suggested retail price; at the current Amazon price it's even more terrific.

Went from good to bad to worse
Was looking to replace my older foreman grill that died after 2-years, most of the new medium/large foreman grills are 72-square inches, a few are 84-inches and larger and twice the price of this one. This grill is listed as 1000w and cooks meats, fish, pork, hotdogs perfectly, only small issue is sometimes bread or fish will stick to the surface, lightly use non-stick spray on the grill beforehand to avoid it.

The gill can hold two burgers and nothing more as the surface is little small, it's good for 1-2 persons. The grease drips down on the plastic tray and heat disperses out of the back, no smoke problems, have not had any issues cooking anything on it. Has removable plates which is a huge bonus, after grilling, wipe them down when there still hot with a sponge and soap, let it sit in the sink and all the grease/junk, etc will come off easily. Don't put them in a dishwasher. Also, do not use metal pads as the coating will come off. The plates snap back on very easy too. Used this 20 times with no issues of the plates falling off or unable to put back on.

My only complaint is george foreman needs to make this grill bigger to cook 4 burgers at once and all new models should have not only removable plates, but reversible.

EDIT 9/18/09
After using this grill for about 30 times now, the coating is wearing off and everything is sticking to it. Have not used anything abrasive, just a sponge and soap. unit is going back to the store.

Great Grill Makes good burgers.
The grill heats up VERY quickly. It also retains heat exceptionally well. The cover even after 10 mins of heating is only warm to the touch. But inside, the meat sears wonderfully.

I had tried another type of electric, but it didn't get hot enough. I also got it with the cart, I would recommend a grill cover to make things complete.

Worth the money
I bought this mouth guard kit for my GF. She is a small woman and the small mouth guard worked better. We had to boil it twice to get a good fit. It works really well for the price. This is a way better option than the 400$ ones the dentist try to make you buy. She grind ed her teeth every night and kept waking me up. Now with this product no more girding and it works great. You have to make sure when your boil the guard to adjust it for your mouth. You SHOULD NOT bit down real hard. Bit down lightly as long as your teeth fit comfortably and the guard does not fall off when you open your mouth. Use your fingers to push down the guard to adjust it for your teeth. Lights Out! - Finally!!!
I work midnights and just can't fall asleep if the room I'm in isn't dark. I've bought so many sleep mask but none of them were quite right. Either the material didn't block out the light or they didn't fit close enough and stay in place well enough to keep the light out. Until now, I'm thankful to say. Can't Sleep Without It
I have been sleeping on the Medslant pillow for about a month now and can't imagine sleeping without it. It has drastically reduced my nighttime reflux and has generally improved the quality of my sleep. I find that I fall asleep much faster and am much more comfortable.

The case is wonderful for travel. I wish I had gotten the Medslant with the allergan cover instead of the standard pillowcase, since I love the pillow so much.

While I'm not obese, I am slightly overweight. After beginning a vigorous exercise routine, I was having a hard time finding a diet that would help me be healthy from the inside out and shed this annoying layer of belly fat that won't go away. I purchased this book and read almost the entire thing in two days. I began implementing Jackie's suggestions and I'm already feeling better, feeling lighter and my stomach is already a little less pudgy. Jackie's book is not a diet--it's a lifestyle change with a ton of information explaining why you're fat including a lot of info on hormones, detoxing, exercising (including what seems like over 20 exercises you can do at home), supplements, gym etiquette, the food industry and how it's making you sick, an eating-out guide and more. Her plan is easy, practical and very doable. It's real-life nutrition set in a world where crap is shoved in your face everywhere. Yes, it's hard to make a change from eating carrots instead of oreos but it's WORTH it. I have cut sugar and now can barely tolerate any when I actually have it. I used to love soda but now it tastes downright nasty. The two cheat meals she allows you will keep you on track and stop you from binging. I have severe acid reflux, and, even with prescription and OTC medicines, I was still waking up almost every night of the week with miserable, choking acid symptoms.

The first night I got this was the first full night of sleep I'd had in ages. And, ever since getting this pillow two-plus months ago, I have had not one single night of acid-awakening. Not one! The difference is night and day, truly amazing.

An unexpected benefit is that the solid wedge pillow gives a great deal of back support; I've noticed a difference in upper back pain in particular since getting the pillow. It's quite firm, so it keeps your back in a firm line.

This isn't a soft, cushy pillow and isn't meant to be, so do be aware of that. But it wouldn't work if it was. I repeat, this has been a tremendous health benefit for me, in more ways than one.

Also, it's much easier than elevating your bed with casters, and it's portable.

HIGHLY recommended.

The best I've ever found!
I have been looking for strapless bras to wear under my wedding dress. I've tried on at least a dozen different kinds, without any clear winners, and most just not doing the job. I ordered this from Amazon, it arrived really quickly, and fit PERFECTLY the minute I put it on. I couldn't believe it, it made me feel like I have never had a bra that fit this well, not to mention a strapless! The reason it is so good is because it actually pulls into your body at the top, keeping the full breast in place. Most strapless bras I have tried don't provide support at the top (or the sides) leaving things a little to jiggly for me. The weight is nicely distributed through the band of the bra, giving full support without the straps (it comes with removeable ones). If you are in between sizes, I would go for the one higher up so you can enjoy a well fitting bra. Love it, will have to order another!

I just got this grill yesterday so I can't tell you if the thing will hold up, but it works just as advertised. I had a specific use for the grill when I bought it - I have a smoker and smoke meats all of the time. The flavor is always good, but of course the smoked meat is usually more steamed than grilled. So I wanted a grill where I could throw on a cut of cooked, smoked meat and get some carmelization and crispyness on the outside at the last minute before serving. I can tell you that if you want a grill that can really sear the grill marks onto the meat, this is the perfect tool. It has a feature where you set your cooking temp, and then push a button that fires it up to 525 degrees, and holds the temp there for 90 seconds, whereby it then drops to the pre-set temp. When I put some just smoked country style ribs on the grill, they sizzed and smoked just the way you would want - they got crispy with the grill marks in just a few minutes. I pressed down on the top to get even contact all around.
The grill is not large - basically about 9 x 9 ", but it was large enough to hold 5 good sized boneless country ribs[...]. The hinged top worked great - the ribs where over an inch thick and there was complete contact from the top grill. The grease tray caught all of the drippings, and the non-stick surface cleaned easily with a wet paper towell - do it while the grill is still warm.
The temperature is thermostatically controlled, and it holds whatever temp you set very well. Temps available are 300-425 in 25 degree increments, and of course the searing setting. The manual says not to press the surge (searing) button after the first searing, however being curious I tried pushing it again, and it did bring the temp up again. I think that there could be a grease fire hazard at that temp, so that is probably why they say not to do that. The grill has a small (and quiet) internal fan which cycles on and off to help hold the temperature setting. The stainless steel body of the grill gets too hot to touch, yet the handle never gets too hot - though I imagine it could if you had it running for a long time. It also has a timer that you can set to remind you when your cooking time has been reached. The timer does not shut of the grill when it rings - that must be done manually. The timer minutes and the temp are both shown in a small but very readable LED.
I'll update this review at a later date if parts start falling off or whatever - but for now, I'm very happy with the results.

Surprised me! It's great!
I ordered this bike after a great deal of research and juggling with the idea of price...too high...too low...which bike is better and why? I spin at the gym and absolutely love the Keiser Spin bike there, but it's just too much money for my home budget, and I REALLY wanted to spin at home. This bike is sturdy, smooth, and delivers a strong ride. I was completely surprised! I was concerned about flywheel weight (this one has a 31 pound vs. the 42 pound average in the more expensive bikes), but I actually think that this is a bonus now. My hips used to hurt when I was spinning 3 and 4 times a week at the gym, and I think the lighter flywheel is better for me. When I bought this here at Amazon, I had it already in my mind, before taking it out of the box, that I would be prepared to return it, but it's terrific! It delivers the exact workout that I want, and it's built really well. I would suggest it to anyone looking for the spinning workout at home, and I believe that it's a good buy for its price range. The DVDs are awesome too; just like class! And you can't go wrong with a company like StarTrac, who manufactures this bike. Have fun and buy with confidence. It's a great choice. :-)

Simplicity at its best
I've been using an oral irrigator as part of my dental hygienics for a long time. I use to be a Waterpik fan for many years until recently. My first Waterpik lasted over ten years. Fair enough for a home appliance. So about a year ago I bought their new model; big mistake. The cheap brittle hose snapped after a few months. Being a technically savvy sort I was able to get the machine apart, and reattach the hose. Then it started breaking at the handle. That took a little more finesse and some Super Glue. After the third time it broke off at the handle, I had my fill with a poorly made product.

So I went in search of an alternative. Oral Breeze's Quikpik QuickPik - Dental Oral Irrigator was the answer for me. It attaches directly to your faucet where you can adjust the water pressure and temperature with you faucet. It does require you to replace your aerator, but that is not a difficult task. Once you've done that, you can simply attach and detach the unit at will.

Oh, did I mention it's made like gang busters and has a life time warranty. And talk about customer service: I had a small problem with one of the tips (it comes with two), so I called Tom at the customer service number. No problem, he sent out two new tips at no extra cost and included a little gift of Therapics to boot. Wow!

I love this thing, no electricity , no ugly thing-a-ma-tub in the bathroom taking up space. I'm a convert, but I guess you figured that out by now.

A pure delight

Of all my toys, and I have many, this is by far my favorite. It is extremely quite, and has multiple speeds, which is important to me. I love the rechargeable batteries. The shape is perfect and hits areas that need to be hit perfectly. I use this one alone and with my partner and she loves it as much as I do. The cost is well worth it...you get what you pay for. It is easy to clean and I have had no difficulties with it what so ever. I must say that this has given me many hours of pure bliss. Love this tub!
After trying 2 other tubs that were HORRIBLE, we tried this one. Our daughter is 5 1/2 months old, and can sit up fairly well. She's about 18 pounds and very long, so having enough space for her legs was an issue. We found that the other tubs we tried weren't long enough, nor were they very comfortable. She ended up with red marks all over her legs and back from other tubs, but this one was wonderful! There's enough room for her to sit up and splash and play, and there's still room to grow. And it does NOT leak like the Safety 1st 4-in-1 bath station, which we also have. I cannot rate the newborn/infant side of the tub, since she's already outgrown that stage, but the older baby side is definitely the best I've seen so far.

Is it hot enough for you?
Yes, it is....That is the problem with all the other electric grills on the market...they just don't get hot enough. This one does and I think it is just smashing !! I can control the temperature, it heats evenly and leaves nice grill marks on the food.....It is perfect for someone like me who does not have time to wait around for a charcoal fire to heat up and does not particularily like gas grills..... From onions to eggplant and shrimp to steak, this little cookery has lovingly seared my heart....It's just great !! It is certainly worth owning and I can highly recommend it to everyone !!

perfect!
I wasn't sure when I was looking at tubs, but I'm glad I got this one. I used the sling for the first 2 weeks to sponge bath my 5 pound preemie, and despite his size, I felt that he was very secure, he stayed put. For those a little nervous about bathing a baby at first, (like my hubby) the sling is adjustable, so you can loosen it add a little more water, and use it for a regular bath. The drain plug warns if the water is too hot, which again is good for the nervous new parent. Now 2 months old, I use the infant, slanted seat side, and it works well for us. the padding reduces slipping. I also like the space to hold clean rinse water or bath supplies. The only thing they may want to add is a hook to hang this to dry, which some have. Otherwise, it's perfect and cheap. Some may be attracted to a few tubs that are bigger, but I think the size is perfect. It's roomy enough but not so big that the baby can "escape", or to mane the baby feel insecure. It's also easier to store than those monster tubs, too.

best night cream ever!
I have been using Egyptian magic for the last 4-5? years as my night cream. I am 42 years old and have virtually no wrinkles. I always moisten my face first with a spritz of witch hazel mixed with rose water (I mix together in a mister)then emulsify the egyptian magic in the palm of my hand. It spreads easier all over face and neck. I also like to put it in my hair (small amount) after washing while still wet, then it combs out easily and makes my curls softer and shinier. It works great on dry hair (tiny amount rubbed in palms of hands) as defrizzer and shine booster. I also enjoy it as a hand/cuticle cream and lip balm. you can also use it as a female moisturizer or lubricant. I love that it has no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Remember, honey is naturally antibacterial. I am sold for life! It is expensive at whole foods, but I sometimes see a deal on amazon. just check the shipping charge first...sometimes you may notice a much smaller price only to realize the shipping charge makes it as much as the other "expensive" looking prices. I love this stuff and the jar does last quite a long time. Oh, by the way, I did try to make this at home once and it turned into a blob of sticky mess. I must have put too much bees wax when melting it down. The chemistry must be exact to get the consistancy of the original product.

Neck injury pain relief (this pillow and an inversion table)
I've tried many Orthopedic pillows since my neck was injured in a car accident over a year ago, but this is the first one to fully deliver on its claims. My pain has decreased by about 80% since I started using this pillow. I have not experienced this with any of the other neck rolls or orthopedic pillows that I have tried. As an aside, I also purchased an inversion table and I use that in addition to this pillow. On the days when I still have pain, I use the inversion table for traction and the pain relief is usually instantaneous. As other reviewers have noted, this pillow was not comfortable for the first few days. Lots of pressure on the base of my skull and on my ears from the "lobes" would cause those areas to be a bit sore in the morning. However, my intense neck pain was so significantly alleviated that I decided to stick with it to see if my body would adapt to the pillow. After about a week, the "pressure" issues disappeared and the neck relief benefits remained. I've been using the pillow for about a month and recently purchased one for my husband as well.

Simple and Effective
Wow! I have used every sort of massage device known to man and this thing is the last such implement i will ever have to buy. No power cord, no batteries, and no BS!

Just zoom into those trigger points and grind away. You can really apply an incredible amount of pressure very precisely. I'll find myself with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. It just "hurts so good" when you hit those deep down knots.

Good buy for beginners
Yes, there are a few downsides to this system. It can take up a bit of floorspace, and it is a bit pricey. But... I had this system a few years ago and loved it. I had to sell it when I moved into a tiny apartment and needed all the space I could get. I recently repurchased the item again and don't regret it at all. There are so many exercises you can perform with this unit, and after two and a half weeks I'm already seeing results. This is a great product for beginners or for those who want an inexpensive home gym.

If you really want to quit smoking, you need this
In the twelve years I was a smoker I honestly believed it would be impossible to stop. I was so in love with smoking that I used to joke that I would quit when I was dead. When I finally decided that I was fed up with cigarettes once and for all (the cost, the stench, the heavy breath, the smoking bans, on and on) I gave this a try. Previously I had attempted to stop twice before, half-heartedly, using the patch and again with some sort of nonsensical herbal concoction. Both a waste of money. They just weren't strong enough for the chain smoker I was. I actually read reviews of the lozenge here and was convinced to try it. So I set my quit date and bought a box. It was a bit of a gamble since they aren't cheap but neither are cigarettes in NJ anymore. Does it work? Oh yeah, it works.

It doesn't just curb the craves it eliminates them. I went from needing two packs of cigarettes a day to having virtually no desire to even look at them anymore. I'm still stunned. They do work and they work magnificently. One thing I like about them, they dissolve very slowly in your mouth which actually helps to alleviate the oral fixation in the absence of a cigarette.

But be warned: Nothing replaces will power. You really need to want to quit. The lozenge is not a magic bullet but if you do decide to quit they are your best weapon. There is, however, a risk of developing an addiction to lozenges so it's incredibly important to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and wean yourself off them according to the schedule provided. 4mg is a very strong shot of nicotine. Also if you swallow them or bite them you'll be treated to some very nasty heartburn and hiccups.

Basically, if you follow the program and reinforce the desire to get rid of the smokes with a support group you WILL quit smoking. Trust me.

Very comfortable, great support
I have a pretty horrible chair at work and nothing seemed to help it. I've got all nature of other ergonomic devices - wrist rests, foot rests, monitor stands - but the chair was killing me. I added one of these, and magically everything is good.

The elastic band that holds the support to the chair is reasonably strong, so there isn't a lot of slippage. You may have to adjust it every couple of days.

The support you get is firm but comfortable, which is exactly what I was looking for. It's not like sticking a pillow behind you or having memory foam that compresses - this holds its shape well and provides exactly what you're looking for: support.

I love it and I've recommended it to my friends. I may also be picking one up for home.

I'd give this 6 stars if it were possible...
I use this lumbar support strictly in my car (2005 Subaru WRX sedan). It looks so natural strapped into place (I have black seats) that people have to be told that it DIDN'T come with the car. I'm 6' tall and my back needs daily manipulating, and can only speak in superlatives about this lumbar support. It is relatively stiff at the base of my spine, and the rest of it can barely be felt.

Cheap and basic, does the job!
I did a lot of online research on inversion tables after really enjoying using the one at my chiropractor's office (a very nice Teeter brand one). I read a lot of reviews of different tables and tried to decide what to spend. Prices range from low ($100+ like this one), average ($200-400) to really high ($1000 and up). I decided that all I needed was a table that would safely turn me upside-down for a while, so I went cheap and basic. The table wasn't hard to assemble (I did it myself in about an hour, though a second pair of hands would have been...well, handy.) In any case, when I first got on it, it felt a little wobbly and there were a couple "clicks" as things shifted slightly with my weight on it for the first time. It took a couple adjustments to get it set right for my center of gravity, but soon I could simply raise one arm then the other to make it glide slowly back to the inverted position. At that point I realized that the pads that cushion the ankles and feet were lacking. The ones on my chiropractor's table are way more comfortable. Most likely I'll come up with some way to pad them better as it's supposed to be relaxing (and it is...I slept like a LOG after the first time I used it!), but it's not easy to relax on the table when your feet are hurting. Other than that, a pretty good table for the money, and it was shipped by Amazon sooner than expected!

I've had this bike for about three weeks and I really like it. The bike is sturdy and assembly is easy. There are six preset hill programs to choose from, or you can use one of the six manually levels. Instructions and use of the computer are easy as well. One of the things I like about this bike is the fitness rating option, using the "recovery" button. It monitors your heart rate for 1 minute after you stop exercising, using the pulse sensors in the handles. It monitors the rate your heart slows then gives you a fitness rating from F1 (best) to F6 (worst). I get my heart rate up as high as I can on level 2 just before I stop exercising, and then I hit the recovery button. After exercising for three weeks I've have dropped from F5 to F4. My resting pulse rate has dropped from 80/minute to 65. I have bad knees and hips, but this bike does not aggravate them at all. If you want to strengthen and tone your legs, just put it up to level 6 and do about 20 reps. Level 6 can't be maintained for long, unless your a body builder. You may choose to get a more expensive bike, but I think this model will give you all you need for a good cardio workout.

Excellent product, immediate pain relief!
I ordered this out of desperation after a slipped disc kept me bent over and in constant pain for two weeks. I have too high a deductible to run to the doctor for everything so this was my last chance before undergoing expensive tests and treatment. It worked like a charm and got my spine back in alignment. I felt a few pops and then relief. I find 6 or 8 minutes all that is needed and only when I feel back strain. I did not experience anything negative and had no trouble at all finding the right position. The Spine Worx comes with explicit instructions on how to align yourself and the proper way to get up after treatment. I can see where there could be trouble if you fail to follow these instructions. I used this in combination with the Homedic's Shiatsu massage chair and have been completely pain free for about two months now. This was pain muscle relaxers and pain killers couldn't touch!! I highly recommend this product if you are willing to follow the recommended guidelines.

Remarkable device
I was scheduled for surgery to relieve snoring, but decided to try this device on the off chance it might work. The instructions were extremely clear, and the device was comfortable from the first night. My wife reported that my snoring stopped immediately, and has not returned with continued use. Increased salivation is a minor problem, but I keep the device in without difficulty. I am also able to sleep through the night for the first time in years. I use it with the nasal spreader, which allows me to breath through my nose for the first time in years and is also very comfortable. For the cost, I think it is worth a try for any adult who meets the criteria for using it. I cancelled my surgery.

Simple and Does the Job

This caliper works well and the "click" feature takes the guesswork out of the correct pressure to use. The chart that's included with the documentation is possibly too simplified, but there are sufficient online resources for using the calipers to determine body fat. I consider it a good value for the home user.

Great Bike
I read a lot of reviews of other bikes so I was on the look out for problems. So far we have not run into any. The setup was very easy. Schwinn provided the parts laid out on a printed piece of cardboard and all the tools necessary to do the job. The assembly "manual" was a pictogram with few words but easy to understand. The entire setup took 45 minutes because I took my time and very methodically laid out each step. If I just jumped into it, it probably would have taken 20-30 minutes. A second pair of hands would have helped align things quicker. One hint I will give you is to make sure you tighten the seat. I thought I had it tight and after riding it a few times, the seat started to swivel. As far as operation goes, we could not be more pleased. It is extremely quiet! In fact I have to almost strain to hear it. It has more whistles and bells than we use (we just jump on and ride for a specific duration). You can set up a "course" where it get progressively harder then easier. My wife likes the fact that it shows the number of calories burned too. The only thing I do not like (but my wife does) is the over the shoe strap on the pedals. My shoes are too wide and it is difficult to get them in. If my wife did not like them I would remove them. I wish Schwinn would make it easier to get them on and off. Overall this is an excellent bike and we are extremely pleased with it.

70% of women given wrong bras by shops

Two in three busty women are being hugely let down - by stores giving them the wrong bras.

Women with a DD chest or bigger were sent to 70 fittings by consumer campaigners Which?

Yet many of the volunteers, aged 25 to 75, were sold vastly differentsized bras at different shops, the watchdogs reveal today.

One was measured as 34FF at one outlet and elsewhere as 40D, seven sizes larger. Another was deemed a 34C and 34F by two House of Fraser branches - both wrong. Jenny Driscoll, of Which?, said: "The results were shocking. One bra was so poorly fitted there was room for a pair of socks in the cups. If stores are going to offer this service they need to up their game. Do it properly or don't do it at all."

Which? said some women would have been better off "picking something off a market stall".

Fewer than one in three fittings was correct while one in four was so awful its researchers marked it a zero. None of the six tested stores was deemed good enough to recommend. Best of the bunch was John Lewis, with a 45% rating, and Bravissimo, with 43%.

House of Fraser picked up the booby prize on 28%. The other chains in the study were Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and La Senza.

A bad fit can cause aches in the neck, shoulder and back and lead to poor posture and appearance.

Lecturer David Morris, who helped to oversee the tests, said: "A larger bust will generally need a firmer fit, more supportive back elastic and a more reinforced fabric."

I Trek at the Office
I bought a TrekDesk, have been using it for over two weeks and love it! I have had lower back pain for over 20 years and feel it gets worse by sitting all day. My company has a corporate wellness program and has been promoting "walking meetings", so when I learned about TrekDesk, I figured why not walk at my desk?

I work for a commercial real estate company and in our environment, we are all in cubicles. When my TrekDesk arrived I bought a treadmill at Costco, went in on a Saturday with a buddy, removed my workstation desktop, wheeled the treadmill into my cube and then assembled my TrekDesk. The whole process, installing the treadmill and assembling the TrekDesk took just over an hour. The instructions were easy to follow and desk adjusted so that the ergonomics recommended were optimized for my computer setup on my new worksurface.

There are 16 cubicles in my work area, so come Monday morning I was curious as to how my cubemates would react to my new setup. After everyone got over the novelty of it, we all settled back to our normal routines. The treadmill is quiet and has not disturbed anyone in my area. Have also found that walking at approx 1.5 mph is not a problem at all. Have settled into a program where I walk all morning and generally 2 - 3 hours in the afternoon. No problems wearing my comfortable (rubber soled) dress shoes.

My back feels better, energy level is higher and my productivity is up. Only complaint I have is that I wish I had one 20 years ago!

Love my Trekdesk!!!!
I did a lot of research on this because I really wanted to be more mobile during work hours. It literally is a "pain" to just sit all day. I found the Trekdesk but the product was not available for ordering (still in production). I checked other vendors, but I liked the Trekdesk design best. So I waited for Trekdesk to send out the announcement.

I received my Trekdesk and used the Youtube video to help me put it together. It was a bit of a challenge -- but I got it done. The desk is huge! Trekdesk recommends you walk at speed of 1 - 1.5. Speed 1 was too slow, so I walked at 1.5 -- that was too slow -- so now I am at speed 2. I found that I can do all my normal admin functions, except when I need precise "mouse clicking action." I straddle the treadmill and then get back on.

I had to keep changing my shoes to find a comfortable pair my feet could bear for the long walks. Then, I saw the ad for the Shape-Ups and had to drive all the way to San Diego, because no other local store stocks. They are comfortable and Skecher store has a 30 day return policy --can't lose!

I love my Trekdesk! If you are working from home - it's a great way to work and burn calories! I would highly recommend it.

Perfect!
I was surprised there were no existing reviews for this bike, and in fact I was reluctant to purchase it for that reason, but I'm so glad I did! It's exactly what I was looking for. I'll break down the details in depth for anyone considering this bike:

Delivery - The package did arrive a bit banged up, but all the parts were there and nothing was damaged. It is heavy though... my dad brought it over for me and it took both him and another man to get it up the stairs to my apartment on a dolly.

Assembly - My dad (a mechanical engineer) assembled it for me and it did take about two hours. Mind you this was at a leisurely pace while simultaneously watching a movie. It wasn't terribly complicated, just time consuming. The parts all seem to be of high quality and heavy weight.

Appearance - I love the way this bike looks! It has a more sleek design than most. It fits perfectly in my small apartment living room and isn't even an eye-sore. Technically you need about 4.5' (length of base) x 2.5' (width of widest point, the lower handlebars) of floor space. I also love the walk-thru design, it makes getting on and off less cumbersome.

Functionality - It has plenty of variety in it's programs. I especially like that it has two programs which automatically adjust resistance based on your heart rate (the heart-rate monitors are located in the handlebars). The monitor is bright, easy to use, and has all the features you would want to monitor your progress. I also like that it shows which stage of the program you are in. The column flashes depending on which stage of resistance you are at and you can see how many more columns of resistance levels are left to go. This helps keep you motivated; kind of like seeing the hills and valleys approach as you ride a normal bike. You can also manually adjust the pre-programed workouts to suit your needs. The seat is comfortable; not sitting-in-a-recliner comfy, but certainly adequate for a bike. I'm 5'8" and this bike adjusts to fit me perfectly, with room to spare in either direction for other height ranges. The bike seems very stable, has a water bottle holder (w/ bottle) and weighted peddles with optional straps. Also, this bike is partially recumbent which I find way more comfortable than either an upright or a fully recumbent bike.

The Workout - The best part... this bike is virtually SILENT! I am amazed at how quite it is! I don't think someone in another room could hear it, let alone my scary, hearing-sensitive downstairs neighbors (big plus!). If you're concerned about noise than this bike is for you! I can watch my tv at the same volume I would if I were just sitting on the couch. I worked out for 30 minutes today on the "Interval" setting and was able to work up a good sweat, felt the burn, and my bum and back stayed comfy the whole time. Its great to peddle away, watch your favorite show, and before you know it your workout is done!

All in all - LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

I like what works
Arrived with a chip in the plastic, luckily it was a part that is on the bottom and faces the ground.
The main frame didn't fit together right and I had to spend a very long time banging on it w/ a hammer to assemble it.
Once together I found that the pulse sensors didn't work at all. I actually wrestled with it to take it apart and inspect the places where the wire plugs meet.
One of the points where the plugs come together had opposite colored wires lined up; i.e., the black wire was meeting the red and vice versa. My best guess is that at the factory one of the plugs was assembled backwards.
Aside from the disappointing assembly snafu and non-functional pulse sensors and programs, the bike is really well made and has plenty of options to shock your muscles and keep the routines fresher.
I use it regularly and it seems as though it should hold up to my punishment, I weigh nearly 190 lbs. and work out w/ dumbells while cycling so I am definitely not taking it easy on the bike.
The intensity level changes are smooth and it is rather quiet for an exercise bike.
I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it if you don't want to spend twice as much for a gym quality bike.

Couldn't be happier!
I got this bike because I wanted to get some good cardio and cannot run due to knee injury, but this bike has been great. My husband has also been using it and we are very happy. We have only had it for about 3 weeks, but we have already lost weight and feel great. We would definitely recommend this bike to other people. No complaints yet.
